Massage
Massage involves using the hands to perform different types of movements and techniques on the soft tissues of the body, particularly muscles . It can be performed on the whole body or part of it and is aimed to provide relaxation, healing, detoxification and rehabilitation. Massage helps trigger the release of the bodys’ natural painkillers and gives a sense of general contentment.
The main techniques used to perform massage include stroking, kneading, rubbing or pressing on the body. Other methods use direct thumb or hand pressure on either the skin or through the clothes. Massage promotes suppleness of muscles, improves circulation and reduces stress.
Head Massage
Head massage is a technique of applying gentle but firm pressure, in a series of special movements over the upper body, (back, shoulders, neck, head and face). It has been found to beneficial in the treatment of relieving stress, relaxing upper body tension, muscle fatigue, easing headaches and sinus problems, creating a feeling a of peace and calmness.
